Expense Logger Terms

These product terms apply to Expense Logger for macOS, iOS and iPadOS, its command-line tools and the RGB-operated services it uses (together, "Expense Logger"), provided by RGB Technologies Inc. ("RGB"). They supplement the RGB Software License Agreement and Terms of Service, and prevail over them for Expense Logger where they differ. How Expense Logger handles your data is described in the Expense Logger Privacy Notice.

1. Distribution

RGB distributes Expense Logger directly and may also distribute it through Apple's App Store. The licence scope (users and devices) is set out in your Order or, if none, is for your own use on devices you control.

2. Accounts you connect

Expense Logger can work with accounts you control, including your Apple iCloud account, your Google Account and your email accounts. You are responsible for those accounts, and their providers' terms and availability apply to them. RGB is not responsible for changes those providers make that affect the app.

3. AI features

3.1 Expense Logger uses on-device models to suggest a receipt's vendor, amount and date. Suggestions are aids, not decisions, and you are responsible for reviewing entries before relying on them.

3.2 The optional Claude feature uses your own Anthropic account and subscription and the Claude Code command-line tool you install. Anthropic's terms apply to that use, and any cost of your Claude subscription is yours.

4. RGB-operated services

Expense Logger relies on services RGB operates for sign-in, updates and diagnostics. RGB provides them while it makes Expense Logger available and may change them, or retire the product, on reasonable notice as described in the Software License Agreement.

5. Updates

Updates are delivered through a signed update channel. RGB may ask you to install the current release before providing support.

6. Apple App Store

If you obtained Expense Logger from Apple's App Store, the following also applies:

• These terms are between you and RGB, not Apple. RGB, not Apple, is solely responsible for Expense Logger and its content.
• Your licence is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's usage rules.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Expense Logger.
• If Expense Logger fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Expense Logger.
• RGB, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to Expense Logger or your use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer-protection claims.
• RGB, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third-party claim that Expense Logger infringes that party's intellectual property rights.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using Expense Logger.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
